Great food. Easy walking distance from downtown. Tables are spread out so you have to look around a little to find open seating. They do have outdoor seating available. Gets very busy so get there early or be prepared to wait. Fast service.
Fast service, friendly waitress, good food. We had burgers and chicken strips and they were all great. The fries were hot and crispy just like we like them.
It also takes quite awhile for a table to be bussed - even when new people are sitting.
It was ok. Food was ok; service could've been better. One employee smokes in the outdoor eating area whilst sitting next to the coffee station, which means people getting coffee also get a smoke whether they'd like to or not. If this was a bar it'd be one thing - outside one of those you know what you're getting yourself into and you are an adult and capable of making adjustments if needed. Not necessarily outside when you're at brunch, however. I also saw this server scoop hash browns back onto a plate with her hands before serving them.
Food was alright but "ignorance is bliss" was my feeling here today.
On the positive: outside had a nice atmosphere and our younger server was excellent - nice and personable :)
Another server doesn't seem to have the best food handling processes either - my partner's plate was sitting directly in my gravy. Fingers crossed the bottom was clean!
Cons: sat for over an hour for our food. Had two trainees, so I totally empathize with the challenges. But I also expect management to talk to us about it and at least make a small gesture like offering free coffee. Poor customer service, so I'd try somewhere else.
Pros: food was good, reasonably priced. Decent coffee. Nice atmosphere.
Cook couldn't get the fried eggs thoroughly cooked, even on second attempt, even after being told twice to pop the yolk before frying. There was a staff member who started smoking in the outdoor eating area. When asked to move downwind because my friend is allergic to smoke, the worker yelled at us that it was a smoking area and moved so the smoke was directly blowing in our direction. We told the waitress and she just shrugged her shoulders. The food was below average for breakfast, even if the eggs had been cooked as ordered, and rhey didn't have some items on their menu. When the send set of eggs was sent back, there was no apology and there was no replacement with a correctly cooked egg. I will never return and don't understand the good reviews. The building is an old gas station and when I stepped inside, I wasn't favorably impressed with the cleanliness. I'm sure there are far better places to eat in Deadwood.
