Very nice staff. Free parking. There is plenty of information about the Deadwood area as well as a small museum displaying the town's history.
Great folks, friendly, helpful. Interesting, historic building, but LONG staircase and elevator out of order (late Sept '17).
We stumbled upon this fun little city and we were so glad we stopped in the Visitor's center. They were so helpful and gave us very great information and a "Past-port" game that the whole family enjoyed. We got stamped on our "Pastports" at each location and returned it at the end of the day back to the Visitor's center for a free deck of cards, and kept the pastport which also made a great souvenir, the kids thought it was better than "Amazing Race." What a clever way to show off your city's attractions!! Good Job Deadwood!
Very cool little town with an old west feel that oozes out of every storefront. Definitely enough to occupy a family for a weekend.
We were able find an great RV spot just outside of town. We took two days to wander the streets, hotels and eateries while reading the wonderful history of this unique little town. Lots of old cars too!
