This is a great place to stay. The campground puts you close to Deadwood and not a far drive from Rapid City. The food at the lodge is good and the staff are extremely nice. They keep the shower house exceptionally clean. There are also a lot of great trails that you can get to right from the campground. Make sure to check out Custer Peak, the view from the top is breathtaking. Not enough good things can be said about this place. We can't wait to go back next year.

Had a cabin to go UTVing on trails. Our first experience renting a cabin in the Hills. Very nice, quiet campground. Much appreciated advice from the lodge manager about the trails. Cabin could've been cleaner; mattresses, pots/pans need replacing, and grill needed cleaning (we didn't use it), but was a satisfactory experience overall.

We loved this place. It was quiet, clean and very convenient to everything you would want to see in the area. The sites are close to each other but laid out well and easy to pull in and out of. We regretted changing campgrounds during our trip to something closer to Mt. Rushmore as Mystic Hills was much friendlier, cleaner and quieter for a better price.

Staff was relaxed yet always helpful and addressed everything I needed. I rented a side by side for 3 days and it worked flawlessly with no issues...obviously very important when you are in the middle of the woods miles away from where you started. Cabin was functional and clean and completely appropriate to the type of activities.

We enjoyed our stay at Mystic Hills! Stayed during the Rally, and rode our own atv as well as our bike. The staff is friendly, and work hard to keep their campground comfortable for their guests. Camp sites are shaded and well spaced. The camp 'rules' ask for quiet between 10 pm and 7 am which we appreciated after long days of riding! Restaurant is good! Location is great for accessing all the Hills have to offer. I would give 5 stars if the shower facilities were a little better. They try to keep them as clean as possible, for a campground. ( not everyone is a courteous guest) but water all over the floor after a shower makes for difficult dressing and slippery floor! Over all, we liked it! We will definitely stay again, and will recommend to anyone who asks "Where should we stay?"
