NO fridge or microwave in room, although info said there is a kitchen in every room. Not true. Was charged $20 for small doggie. Thought that was kinda much since the room was nothing special. Soaps made in China. Not much of a breakfast. Feel like I was charged too much for what we got. Nice quiet location though. AC worked great.
Very helpful owner, he gave us advice on what to-do the "walking trail" at Spearfish, SD as we were heading that way & glad we did! A pleasant walk & nice surprise at the end!
Currently rating this 3 stars while it currently holds 2.7. I have hopes that it can reach 4 or 5 stars by the time we come back a year from now. We were upset with the wifi not working all night, but it did work in the lobby in the morning where there was juice, milk, toast, bagels, and ceral. Originally we were upset about this and thought it deserved its 2.7 rating, but after meeting the friendly hotel staff we will leave this quaint inn with high hopes.
Great hotel! Rooms are a little cramped and clearly haven't been updated in a few decades, but they are nice and clean, and quiet. They are a good value for the money - I'd definitely return!
The motel was quiet. Friendly staff. Service was sub par. We spent four days there at the end if July. For the final two days our air conditioning broke down in the middle of the night. There were very hot days. The management failed to fix it, switch our room or to comp us for the stifling inconvenience. The beds were worn out. Pillows were the size of a hand towel. Shower had minimal pressure at best. Will not stay there again nor recommend this motel to any fellow travelers.
